2023 European Family Conference

The burden of the EFC is that the Lord would raise up families for the church life. Our schedule will include family activities such as singing, stories, family talks, crafts, games, workshops, and informal times of fellowship. There will not be a parents’ conference during this time.

Any Families and burdened serving saints.

The European Family Conference is a 5-day, full-time, residential event that takes place in Małe Ciche, a small village in the southern part of Poland near the Tatra Mountains.

Official check-in for the Conference will be available on Saturday, 29 July and Lord’s Day, 30 July from 12-9pm in the Junior Conference tent*. *Check-in will move to the EYPC Office located behind the Junior Conference tent on Lord’s Day, 30 July before the evening meeting begins.

The EFC will begin at the same time as the EYPC, after dinner on Lord’s day 30 July.

We will have an orientation in the EFC tent from 7:00pm – 8:15pm. On Monday we will have a workshop at 10:00am, activities in the afternoon, and then another workshop at 4:00pm. After dinner there will be a coordination for the parents and serving saints 7:00pm – 8:00pm. Parents can take turns caring for their children during the evening coordination. The schedule will be similar on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesday is a day of activities and rest.

The workshops are the main part of the EFC. They will be approximately one hour and fifteen minutes and will involve parents, children and burdened saints of all ages. During these times we will read, sing or do activities together and in small family groups.

The attendees will be staying in large, wooden Polish guest houses unique to the Polish Highlands. The families will share houses from their country/region. There might be saints who join the EYPC be staying in the same accommodation. The homemade food served in each guest house is a mix of traditional Polish food and continental dishes. Breakfast usually consists of Polish-style sandwiches (bread, ham, cheese, vegetables/salad, jam/spreads). Lunch and dinner usually includes a traditional Polish soup and a traditional Polish main dish.

We will provide the families with several communal areas where they can meet up during the day. In these areas, we will have play equipment, toys, and covered seating.

Pursuant to the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 25 March 2022 on establishing specific restrictions, orders, and prohibitions in relation to the state of epidemic (Polish Journal of Laws, item 673), from 28 March 2022 onwards, all restrictions on travel to the Republic of Poland are lifted, which means there is no obligation to:
– present COVID certificates when crossing the border;
– test for SARS-CoV-2;
– undergo the so-called entry quarantine.

There are 2 small convenience stores located within the village of Małe Ciche. The stores offer basic necessities as well as basic food items and snacks. Young people may visit these shops in between scheduled Conference activities or serving ones may be asked to help make purchases if there is an emergency.

Clothing worn during the Conference should be proper and modest.

The children are not allowed to have electronic devices during the family conference. This includes workshops, activities, and all other times during the week. Electronic devices present safeguarding issues among the children. The young people in the EYPC are not allowed to have electronic devices during the conference. We ask that the same rule be applied for the children.

We are not able to accommodate pets at the Conference. Any accommodation for pets must be made outside the conference village of Małe Ciche.
